Hidden gems of Recoleta and its outskirts

Hidden gems of Recoleta and its outskirts

About this experience

Discover an amazing place off the beaten track the conventional tourist routes. The district of “La Isla” (The Island) in Recoleta and its outskirts house the past and present of Buenos Aires culture and its art collection.

In this walking tour, we will enter the heart of “La Isla” (The Island) to know its architecture, its stories, and secrets. We will walk through a beautiful square that was the garden of one of the most important Palaces in Argentina, which was dramatically destroyed and replaced by the very large quadruped.

Along the way, we will see incredible buildings, monuments, and sculptures (one of them is the largest mobile of this country). It is like an open-air museum! We will tour the old water tank building of the city to find within the most important art heritage of Argentina: MNBA. Also, I will show you a building full of mixed feelings for Argentine people: ATC. Finally, in " The miles of museums" of the city of Buenos Aires, we will take a local bus to visit an avant-garde building which houses a unique collection of 20th Century Latin American art: MALBA Museum. – Bus & Museum Tickets included -

Since the museum tickets are for a full day, you can obviously stay in the MALBA after the tour and discover other parts of the museum."

My name is Cris. I am a tour guide, a student of Art and a travel-lover of the beautiful places of Argentina.

My love for traveling made me live, learn and enjoy different cities and cultures of the world; in fact, it made passion grow for different expressions of art. Today, as a tour guide, I like to show people the notorious beauties of Buenos Aires and those out of the way.

I like interacting with people. I really enjoy this amazing interaction that nourishes all of us.
