The Full Day Sweeping Experience in Tigre

About this experience

"At only 40 minutes away from downtown Buenos Aires, Tigre and Delta del Paraná are waiting for you. This is a unique place with a lush jungle landscape, reminiscent of tropical latitudes. We offer you to row around this beautiful area in a rowing boat. This is a perfect opportunity to experience such a magical place while doing a healthy, light and enjoyable physical exercise. In sweeping, each rower has one oar, held with both hands.

As each rower has only one oar, the rowers have to be paired so that there is an oar on each side of the boat. This means you and your group face the challenge of synchronizing your movements! We meet at Tigre St. of Mitre Train and walk along the riverside towards the boat warehouse where we get ready to leave. The warehouse offers restrooms and lockers. The rivers we will navigate (such as Gambado, Abravieja, Carapachay, Angostura) may vary according to tidal flow and the changes in the river's level due to the tidal height. We depart from Río Luján.

In my visit to Argentina, I guess this was the best activity I've done. We were so lucky to have such a wonderful day, sun in the sky and great temperature. She took us to the river and we rowed through so many canals. I took some good pictures of nature and people I came across. Must do if you like the nature and do something totally different.

The full day rowing & lunch tour was an incredible way to experience El Tigre–I would highly recommend! We started off by learning how to row in a smaller lake and then made our way to the river where we put our skills to the test. Of course, our guides were attentive and always made sure we knew what to do. Halfway through the day, we had lunch and relaxed at a quaint restaurant on the side of the river. The food was very good and our hostess was so warm and welcoming. We then rowed back to where we departed with our wonderful guides. This experience is a great way to meet knowledgable and friendly locals while seeing a beautiful part of the city.
